UNCONVENTIONAL SOLUTIONS

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Solutions:

UNCONVENTIONAL TURNKEY SOLUTIONS TO MONETIZE EVERY BTU: SMALL VOLUME, LOW BTU, PERMEATE OR FLARE GAS—WE HAVE THE SOLUTION

We provide turnkey solutions for the development of production and processing facilities, along with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems, from design to start-up and ongoing operations. CNG is a cleaner, sustainable, and environmentally friendly fuel.

MONETIZE EVERY BTU

We have delivered several projects utilizing raw natural gas from wellheads previously considered nonviable due to:

  • Lack of Pipeline Infrastructure: Challenges include building pipelines, obtaining land permits, and the cost per kilometer.
  • Processing Challenges: Pressure, temperature, and varying compositions of wellhead gas often require extensive conditioning, leading to high capital costs.

RAG designs and develops complete infrastructure from the source of natural gas to consumers. The raw gas is treated for utility, then compressed and transported to consumers in high-pressure gaseous form. CNG is safer to transport than gasoline and diesel, as it is non-toxic and disperses quickly. Additionally, CNG fuel is 50% cheaper than gasoline and diesel.

GAS CONDITIONING AND TREATMENT

RAG takes your wellhead gas and designs and supplies the necessary equipment to meet pipeline specifications. Our extensive process design capabilities allow us to mix and match available equipment for fast-track deployment at your wellhead sites. Our equipment effectively removes water and liquids, drying the gas and eliminating CO2/H2S to deliver pipeline-quality gas. We understand the challenges of standard wells and low-BTU gas, especially for lower flows (0.2 to 5 MMscfd). We have designed single units/packages that can achieve pipeline gas in the most economical manner.

GAS LOADING AND DISCHARGE COMPRESSION

Pipeline-quality gas is compressed for loading onto Natural Gas Tube Trailers at high pressures. We have successfully delivered projects for 10 psi suction pressure gas, compressing it to 3600 psi for loading onto Tube Trailers. Depending on conditions, medium or high-pressure compressors are used for various compression applications, including:

  • CNG Recovery
  • Filling Tube Trailers
  • Pipeline Injection
  • Gas Vent Recovery

MANAGING SUPPLY CHAIN WITH VIRTUAL PIPELINE

VIRTUAL PIPELINE CONNECTS CONSUMERS WITH SEVERAL GAS SOURCES WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A CONVENTIONAL PIPELINE

Based on your conditions, we design the most efficient supply chain using a virtual pipeline (tube trailers) for loading and transporting natural gas to end consumers. The source of natural gas can include wellheads, gas plants, or biogas. We develop a continuous metered supply, with the entire supply chain automated to ensure a seamless, sustainable supply.

Gas field sources may include:

  • Orphan Wells
  • Wellheads
  • Gathering
  • Natural Gas Processing Plants
  • Gas Lift
  • Flare Reduction
  • Biogas from sewage, landfills, and waste from brewing and dairy

Potential gas consumers include:

  • Upstream Operations
  • Power Generation
  • Distant Communities Not Connected to Pipelines
  • Injection into Pipeline Grids
  • Industries
  • Mining
  • Tourist Resorts
  • Fueling Stations

Support:

  • Complete engineering from source to consumer
  • Qualified service technicians available 24/7
  • On-site start-up and maintenance assistance
  • Fully staffed engineering team
  • Service contracts available

RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS (RNG)

We focus on reducing CO2 emissions with RNG made from organic materials. Renewable compressed natural gas (RNG) is produced from feedstocks, including animal waste, crops, and food waste.

The production process is as follows:

  1. Biogas is generated from feedstocks (animal and vegetable waste) through anaerobic digestion.
  2. The produced biogas is treated to remove impurities.
  3. The compressed RNG is sold via pipeline.

We have designed and constructed biogas projects ranging from small-scale to 2450 scfm. Our expertise includes both membrane-based treatment and water-based scrubbing, allowing us to advise on the best structure for your specific feedstock.

RELOCATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS

We have executed numerous relocation projects for large-scale natural gas and NGL plants, including cross-border movements. Our scope includes dismantling, tagging all mechanical and electrical items, arranging inland and ocean freight, and reassembly and commissioning at final sites. We also perform modifications and refurbishments as part of relocations.
